Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished gold, coppery-amber with a warm, honeyed glow.
Nose
An explosive peat plume with iodine, sea-salt and mineral brine. Beneath, roasted barley sweetness and sherry-dark fruit—raisin and fig—unfold with cocoa-soft depth. A warm medicinal lift lingers, announcing this Islay titan with poised, smoky complexity.
Palate
An enormous wave of peat smoke, medicinal and sea-salted, demands your attention. Sherry sweetness carves a counterpoint of fig and cocoa, while ash and tar linger with a mineral, briny edge. Rich and viscous, the 62.5% ABV coats the palate, yielding a long, smoky finish threaded with spice and dark chocolate.
Finish
Long, peat-forward finish with coastal brine and iodine, carried by sherry-dark fruit and cocoa. The warmth lingers, peppery and resinous, fading to a mineral, ashy kiss that persists with smoky sweetness.
