Colour

Vivid golden amber with coppery warmth and a subtle mahogany hue.

Nose

A bright bouquet of pineapple, kiwi, green banana and lime zest leads, layered with Pot Still spice, baked apple, hazelnut and toasted wood.

Palate

A smooth, velvet mouthfeel carries a subtle mix of orchard fruit with a hint of clove oil and cracked black pepper corns. Sweet spices, vanilla and cinnamon add warmth, weaving through the wood’s nutty depth into a lingering, balanced finish.

Finish

A lasting finish where exotic fruits linger, mingling with warm spices—vanilla, cinnamon and clove—with a gentle nutty undertone that slowly fades to a refined, palate-pleasing close.

Blue Spot belongs to the historic Spot Whiskey family created by Dublin wine merchant and whiskey bonder Mitchell & Son. The Spot name comes from the practice of marking maturing casks with coloured paint to show their intended age: blue for 7 years, green for 10, yellow for 12 and red for 15. The range has its roots in the days when Mitchell & Son matured Jameson spirit from Bow Street in wine and fortified wine casks beneath Dublin.
