There’s a common thread that runs between a quiet hollow in Tennessee and McLaren Formula 1 Team’s world-class racing operation. It’s a shared belief that if a thing is worth doing, it’s worth doing without compromise. Every day, Jack Daniel’s strives to make its whiskey the very best it can be. In partnership with the McLaren Formula 1 Team, “the best” reaches a whole new gear.
Introducing Jack Daniel’s x McLaren Halo MK1 Tennessee Whiskey.
This isn’t just a new bottle — it’s a custom-engineered masterpiece. Drawing inspiration from the materials synonymous with McLaren Racing’s innovation, the Halo has been reimagined as the ultimate expression for one of Jack Daniel’s most premium liquids to date. The display case is engineered from alloy metal, micro-suede, and carbon-fiber-print, directly mirroring the look and materials of the Halo cockpit protection system on McLaren’s Formula 1 cars.
Inside is a specially crafted whiskey matured in handcrafted barrels with staves aged in the open air to soften tannins and develop a bolder, deeper character.
The Foundation: Jack Daniel’s classic grain bill of 80% corn, 8% rye, and 12% malted barley.
The Mellowing: Every drop is slowly filtered through ten feet of sugar maple charcoal for unmistakable smoothness.
The Maturation: Handcrafted barrels with staves aged in the open air for an extended period were used. This additional time under the Tennessee sun softens the wood’s tannins, resulting in a deeper colour and a much bolder character.
The Strength: Bottled at 117.4 proof (58.7% ABV), a direct salute to Bruce McLaren’s first race car, the #58 Austin 7.
This release marks a milestone in Jack Daniel’s history and, like a perfectly executed pit stop, it won’t last long.

Sweet maple with fruit notes and elements of toasted oak.

Initially, sweet caramel, chocolate, and charred oak. Pipe tobacco follows, with a dose of bananas, some nuttiness, and baking spice. It coats the mouth nicely with a medium-weight mouthfeel.
Finish
A bold finish, and though the heat dissipates quickly, it leaves ample amounts of barrel spice and brown sugar candy lingering.
