(Arr-en) Arran’s Lochranza Distillery was founded in 1995 at the north end of the island and helped bring whisky production back to Arran after a gap of more than 150 years. The first spirit ran on 29 June 1995, and the distillery has since become one of the best-known names among Scotland’s newer single malt producers.
