About Old & Rare World Whisky

Old & Rare World Whisky brings together mature, discontinued and highly sought-after bottles produced outside Scotland, the United States and Japan. The category includes rare Irish, Canadian, Indian, Taiwanese, English, Welsh, European and other international whiskies, ranging from long-aged expressions and limited editions to historic bottlings and discontinued releases.

Many of these bottles offer a glimpse into the development of whisky-making beyond its traditional centres. Rare releases from producers such as Bushmills, Midleton, Redbreast, Kavalan, Amrut, Penderyn and other respected distilleries can become increasingly difficult to find, particularly when age statements, cask programmes or older packaging have since been discontinued.

Rarity can result from long maturation, small original outturns, discontinued ranges, limited cask stocks or changes in ownership and production. Old & Rare World Whisky gives collectors and enthusiasts the opportunity to explore distinctive regional styles, unusual cask maturation and historic releases from whisky-producing countries around the world.
