The Old Midleton Distillery fell silent many years ago, but its spirit survives. It endures in the hearts and minds of the people who work there. It lives on in the cobbled yards, in the old buildings.

Tasting Notes
Colour
A rich, burnished amber with coppery highlights and a honey-gold edge, a deep bronze glow that shimmers in the glass.
Nose
Delicate fruit first: peach, apricot and dates take the lead, layered with sugar-glazed almonds, worn leather and antique wood. Sweet treacle toffee, vanilla essence and heather honey weave through earthy woodland notes, with a soft dusting of white pepper lingering in the background.
Palate
Opens with a vibrant medley of stone and citrus fruits, carried by a luscious, silk-coated mouth. Oak tannins slowly build, revealing herbal tea and dark chocolate, while spices rise and ginger accents the sweet undertones of salted caramel and toffee apple.
Finish
A long, lingering finish where decades of ageing have deepened the richness, with pot still spices and orchard fruits lingering as the oak slowly fades away.
