Our Bushmills 25 Year Old is patiently matured in bourbon barrels and sherry butts for between four and six years before finishing in first-fill ruby port pipes for 21 years to give generations of luxurious dark fruit flavours.

These oak port pipes were personally sourced from a family cooperage that shares our uncompromising values, expertly hand-crafted by their trusted coopers. They are made from delicate European oak to ensure the interaction between seasoned wood and whiskey is the greatest it can be.

Tasting Notes

Colour

Deep burnished amber with a ruby-tinged mahogany glow.

Nose

Rich and complex, with intense ripe hedgerow dark fruits mingled with honey, and a gentle kiss of toasted wood that announces the 25-year elegance.

Palate

Sweet almond notes open, giving way to caramelised cherries, plums and blackberries, then drift into velvety dark chocolate with hints of warm spices. A honeyed damson finish lingers, inviting another luxurious sip.

Finish

Warm oak, port sweetness and gentle spice linger long after the last drop, inviting you to taste this exquisite single malt again and again.

Bushmills
Bushmills traces its whiskey heritage to 1608, when King James I granted Sir Thomas Phillips a licence to distil in County Antrim. The Old Bushmills Distillery was formally registered in 1784 by Hugh Anderson, making it one of the most historic names in Irish whiskey. Production is centred in the village of Bushmills, close to the River Bush, with the distillery long associated with triple-distilled Irish whiskey made from malted barley.
