A particularly impressive 21 Year Old Bushmills from the World Wood Series, matured across three different cask types. The triple-distilled single malt spends approximately 18 years in American bourbon barrels and Spanish Oloroso sherry casks before being married and transferred into first-fill Marsala wine casks for a further three years. Bottled at 46% ABV, this limited Cask Reserve release offers a richer and more concentrated take on mature Bushmills.
The extended maturation produces a deep, fruit-led whisky with caramelised sugar, candied orange and vanilla giving way to plum, fig, cherry and warming ginger. Hazelnut, chocolate and seasoned oak provide additional depth, followed by a long, gently drying finish.
