Undisclosed Irish Cut Your Wolf Loose Edition #18 Single Bourbon Cask Whisky 15 Year Old · 2002 Vintage
In stock
This particular troublemaker very nearly never saw the light of day. When the cask arrived from Ireland, HMRC took a close look and briefly considered consigning the entire contents to the drain. Ageing Irish whiskey in Scotland, it seems, is not typically encouraged. Fortunately, common sense prevailed, and the whisky survived its brush with bureaucratic extinction.
Artwork for this release comes courtesy of the ever-talented Three Dogs, who delivered something suitably mischievous for a “cooool-ly” bottled whisky that, technically, was never meant to exist here in the first place.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Gleaming amber-gold with copper-bronze depth, a sunlit, honeyed caramel glow that invites the eye.
Nose
Generous orchard fruits lead the way, with crisp apples and ripe pears prominent. A pear tarte tatin, dusted with icing sugar, sits alongside honeycomb, malt biscuits, and a gentle waxy note that drifts softly in the background.
Palate
Rich and textured on the palate, chewy malt wrapped in layers of floral honey. Baked apples and poached pears unfold in quick succession, delivering a full, rounded profile that feels indulgent yet buoyant.
Finish
Long, warm, and softly peppery, the finish unfurls with honeyed malt and a lemon-zest lift, lingering gracefully to leave a lasting, balanced impression.
