About Louis Roederer
Louis Roederer is a family-owned Champagne house based in Reims, with origins dating back to 1776. The house took its current name in 1833, when Louis Roederer inherited and renamed the business, later building its reputation through vineyard ownership at a time when many Champagne houses relied more heavily on bought-in grapes.
Louis Roederer owns around 250 hectares of vineyards across Grand Cru and Premier Cru sites in the Marne, with a strong focus on estate fruit, parcel selection and long-term vineyard management. The range includes Collection, Vintage, Rosé, Blanc de Blancs and Cristal, the prestige cuvée created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II of Russia. Its Champagne style is generally structured, precise and elegant, with Chardonnay and Pinot Noir playing central roles across the portfolio.
