Midleton Very Rare 2019 Edition Irish Whiskey
In stock
The 36th edition in Midleton's renowned and highly collectable range has been officially unveiled. This latest vintage release is a masterfully blended Irish whiskey from distillates laid down at Midleton Distillery, Co Cork, over the past four decades.
Crafted by Master Distiller Brian Nation, Midleton Very Rare 2019 combines only hand-selected single pot still and single grain Irish whiskeys of exceptional quality and rarity within the Midleton Distillery, with each whiskey having been matured exclusively in lightly-charred ex-bourbon American oak barrels for between 13 and 34 years. This marks some of the oldest whiskey ever used in a Midleton Very Rare vintage release.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with a warm honey-gold glow and subtle coppery undertones.
Nose
Ripe pear and apple notes mature over time, revealing a delicate touch of mango. Framed by charred American oak, sweet layers of brown sugar and vanilla emerge, with a subtle dusting of nutmeg, cinnamon and clove spice.
Palate
Silky, indulgent on the tongue, orchard fruits - pear and apple - lead with warm pot-still spice. Grain's soft floral notes drift in the background, while the oak introduces gentle tannins and wood spice, shaping a refined, enduring finish.
Finish
Fruits and gentle spice fade, yielding an oak foundation with a mild roasted coffee and nutty notes lingering to the very end.
