In 1984 Barry Crockett saw an opportunity to bring together the very best of the magic of Midleton Distillery to create a Whiskey like no other. The finest raw materials, the most advanced techniques, a dedicated team of craftspeople – an orchestra in perfect harmony.
Each bottle is individually numbered and signed by the Master Distiller, the mark of a true Whiskey masterpiece. Midleton Very Rare is consistently awarded the highest honours at the world’s most respected whisky awards.
Today, Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman continues this great legacy with the introduction of the 2024 vintage release from the Midleton Distillery.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Copper-gold with warm amber depths and honeyed highlights, a sunlit caramel glow that invites the eye.
Nose
Richly scented vanilla sits at the heart of a floral, herbal bouquet, while orchard fruits unfold—ripe apple and sweet pear. Pot still spice warms with cinnamon and clove, enhanced by nuanced American oak; wisps of freshly mown hay mingle with toffee and heather honey.
Palate
Silky, luscious on the palate with mouth-watering peach and nectarine, intertwined with crème brûlée, toffee-apple and chocolate-dipped honeycomb. Floral grain notes and full-bodied pot still spice mingle with charred oak, yielding a balanced, complex, and elegant profile that lingers with refinement.
Finish
An elegant, lingering finish where orchard fruits and American oak softly persevere, weaving a warm, fragrant echo that lingers long after the last sip.
