Tasting Notes

Colour

Rich amber-gold with coppery highlights and a touch of mahogany; a warm, cognac-tinted glow that suggests honey and sun-warmed oak.

Nose

Opulent aromas of ripe orchard fruit, vanilla and honeyed toffee, lifted by toasted oak. The XO cognac finish brings dried fig, raisin and glazed apricot, with orange zest and almond paste, wisp of spice and brioche. A generous, elegant bouquet that lingers with warmth and refinement.

Palate

Silky, full-bodied palate with creamy malt and grain weaving a ripe, honeyed sweetness. Dried apricot, orange zest and toffee mingle with vanilla, almond and gentle spice, lifted by a cognac-tinged warmth from the XO cask. Gentle oak support and a long, velvety finish.

Finish

Long, velvety finish, cognac-cask kissed: vanilla, candied orange, and fig unfold into dried fruit, cocoa, and spice, slowly fading to warm oak and a refined liqueur sweetness.
