The first release from the 2016 harvest at Lakefield farm, Lakefield 1.1 is made entirely from 'Irina' malted barley, aged for 3 years and 7 months and bottled in 2021 at 50% ABV.
Multiple maturations take place, including first-fill, virgin US & French Oak delivering a complex and fruity Irish whiskey.

Colour
Luminous golden amber with copper-tinged edges and a honeyed, sun-warmed glow.
Nose
Freshly baked bread and chocolate rise up front, a warm bakery-forward aroma that hints at soft malt and comforting sweetness.
Palate
On the palate, a bakery-forward impression with warm custard, dark chocolate, and tangy rhubarb and apple tart. First-fill and virgin US and French oak introduce creamy vanilla and subtle spice, yielding a gently sweet, slightly treacly finish.
Finish
Spiced finish, with clove notes weaving through sweet, sticky treacle, leaving a warming, lingering sweetness on the palate.
