Signed by Jim McEwan at the distillery and released for the 2014 Feis Ile and the only Octomore to be quadruple distilled and aged in oloroso sherry butts with only 1695 bottles available (but not all with the now retired master distlleries signature!)
An experimental Octomore and this is quite a rollercoaster ride and one for the true Islay fan and lover of the self styled progressive Islay distillery.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a hint of mahogany, a glossy bronze glow.
Nose
Lemon drizzle cake, hot oat cereal and zesty orange marmalade; with water, earthier mineral notes emerge, a subtle vermouth-like lift.
Palate
Very hot citrus and waxy texture, white pepper and spicy peat; with water it unfurls to floral, vermouth-like notes.
Finish
Fizzy citrus and peppery peat, softening into biscuity barley and lemon curd with water, leaving a bright, lemony malt finish.
