Colour
Deep amber-gold with coppery sheen and a mahogany edge, rich and inviting.
Nose
Aromas surge from the glass: prunes, figs and dried cherries mingle with glossy sherry, orange zest and toasted almond. Rich oak, cocoa powder and spice—clove, cinnamon—frame the fruit, with a whisper of leather. At cask strength, the nose is opulent and velvety, hinting at espresso and a long, refined finish.
Palate
Opulent and viscous, the palate unfolds with sherry-bright dark fruit—fig, raisin, plum—paired with chocolate, toffee and zesty orange. Rich spices (cinnamon, clove) thread through oak, yielding a full, silky mouthfeel. Long, warming finish reveals leather, espresso and a whisper of tobacco, crowned by orange peel and refined spice.
Finish
Long, luxurious finish with sherry sweetness carrying notes of fig, raisin and dark cherry, balanced by dark chocolate, toasted almond and espresso. Spicy oak and a whisper of tobacco weave through the warmth of cask-strength spirit, leaving a velvety, lingering dryness that invites another sip.
