Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished gold with coppery edges and a warm amber core.
Nose
Sea-salt, sea breeze and peat rise with sherry-rich sweetness, carrying raisin, fig and dark chocolate. Bright orange zest threads through a maritime, resinous bouquet, with whispers of leather and waxy barley, all underpinned by mineral brine and a long, smoky finish.
Palate
Opulent, full-bodied palate with waves of peat smoke and coastal brine, sharpened by iodine and black tea. Rich dried fruit and dark chocolate entwine with polished oak, vanilla and a whisper of sherry. Waxy, saline notes linger into a long, refined finish, punctuated by tobacco, spice and orange zest.
Finish
Long, mouth-coating finish of maritime peat and smoke. Brine and iodine linger beside dark fruit and cocoa, while warm spice and polished oak unfold slowly, leaving a resinous, slowly fading glow that carries a hint of ash and leather. A refined, enduring echo of Brora’s coastal power.
