This is one of the very best of the Rare Malts series and a fantastic example of the sadly long lost distillery Brora bottled at 24 years old at natural cask strength. A huge and powerful malt with savoury, waxy and coastal notes that has a meaty intensity, this is like a roast beef dinner of a whisky and one to enjoy outdoors in autumn!

Brora (silent)
(BRAW-ruh) Brora was founded in 1819 by the Marquess of Stafford, later the Duke of Sutherland, and originally operated as Clynelish. The present Clynelish distillery was built next door in the late 1960s, after which the original site was reopened in 1969 and renamed Brora. During the early Brora years it produced a heavily peated style for blending, before gradually returning to a lighter Highland character.
