The name “Hidden Beneath” refers to how smoke in this cask lightly veils other flavours before giving way to deeper, less seen richness. This release is extremely limited (just 150 bottles) and is featured as a distillery exclusive at Brora’s newly restored home. It comes from American Oak Refill Hogshead Cask #582 and is bottled at natural strength.

Aromas include coconut and grape skin with woody spice. The palate is smoothly sweet, fruity, peppery, finishing long with a gentle wisp of smoke.

Brora (silent)
(BRAW-ruh) Brora was founded in 1819 by the Marquess of Stafford, later the Duke of Sutherland, and originally operated as Clynelish. The present Clynelish distillery was built next door in the late 1960s, after which the original site was reopened in 1969 and renamed Brora. During the early Brora years it produced a heavily peated style for blending, before gradually returning to a lighter Highland character.
