Tasting Notes
Colour
Bright golden honey with warm amber edges and a coppery glow.
Nose
Smoky peat rises with coastal iodine and sea-salt brine, like a brisk breeze along a Highland shore. Citrus zest and malt sweetness braid with medicinal notes, while ash and waxy vanilla linger, brightened by mineral hints from the refill hogshead.
Palate
Brora's coastal smoke and iodine lead the palate, with sea-salt and mineral notes underpinning waxy peat. Woven citrus zest and vanilla from refill hogshead oak mingle through the warmth, while graphite ash and a trace of spice linger. A long, dry finish carries briny smoke into the palate, leaving a refined, maritime echo.
Finish
Flame-tinged peat lingers into a long, resinous finish, carried by sea-salt and iodine notes. A whisper of vanilla from the refill hogshead sweetens the smoke, fading to a mineral, ash-touched warmth that remains.
