Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany glow.
Nose
Opulent sherry-driven aroma, with dried fig, raisin and orange peel unfolding over a bed of malt. Toffee and vanilla weave through toasted walnut and oak, while cinnamon and clove spark spice. A whisper of cocoa, leather, and espresso adds gravitas, finishing with a warm, resinous sweetness and a lasting, mature fruit richness.
Palate
Luxuriously full-bodied, this Glenfarclas coats the palate with dark fruit, fig and raisin, lacquered by cocoa and burnt sugar. Sherry depth threads through orange zest, cinnamon and nutmeg, with refined oak providing gentle structure. At 50.5% it remains creamy and mouth-coating, delivering a long finish of leather, dark chocolate and toasted almond.
Finish
A long, opulent finish that lingers with warming spice and sherried fruit. Dried orange, fig and raisin give way to cocoa, toffee and a touch of oak, with cinnamon and nutmeg echoing as the sweetness slowly fades.
