Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with bronzed gold hues and a tawny mahogany edge.
Nose
Coastal peat and sea-salt smoke surge from the glass, edged with iodine and a hint of waxy minerality. Rich sherry sweetness threads through dark fruit and leather, while briny marine notes linger, giving Brora’s legendary, sea-drenched character a polished, stately bloom.
Palate
Full-bodied and viscous, Brora reveals peat and sea-salt brine with every sip. Medicinal smoke mingles with dark honey, treacle and dried fruit, while waxy oils coat the tongue. Leather, ash and pepper surface mid-palate, then a maritime, saline finish lingers long.
Finish
An extraordinarily long, maritime finish where peat smoke, iodine and sea-salt drift across the palate, leaving a drying, waxy mouthfeel. As the warmth fades, leather, cocoa and dark fruit notes emerge, lingering with a subtle medicinal edge.
