Tasting Notes
Colour
Dark amber with copper-bronze highlights and a warm mahogany edge.
Nose
Coastal brine and peat smoke rise with iodine and sea spray, instantly maritime. Sherried sweetness threads through dried fig and date, while almond, toffee and vanilla add warmth. Subtle cocoa and spice weave in, giving a polished, malt-forward perfume that lingers with a graceful, slightly smoky finish.
Palate
Full, oily palate of coastal peat and sea spray, woven with lush sherry sweetness. Prune and fig meld with dark toffee, cocoa and spice as waxy malt lends body. Oak adds a gentle warmth, while orange zest and a salt-kissed finish carry the maritime signature long after each sip.
Finish
Long, maritime finish with wisps of peat smoke and coastal salt, wrapped in waxy richness. Dried fruits and toffee appear, shaded by a sherry-tinged sweetness, then toasted oak and subtle spice. Warmth lingers, fading slowly into a resinous, softly peated glow.
