Tasting Notes

Colour

Warm amber-gold with sunlit honey tones and a subtle copper glow.

Nose

Salty sea air and a trace of peat lift a malty, sherried bouquet; vanilla and polished oak weave through dried fruit, almonds, and citrus zest, with a gentle spice lingering on the finish.

Palate

Briny peat weaves through a silky, mid-weight palate. Salted caramel sweetness, orchard fruit and dried fig mingle with sherry-soft richness, while vanilla, cocoa and toasted oak lend warmth. A coastal, smoky core lingers, with a gentle spice and iodine-kissed finish.

Finish

Coastal, lightly peated, with sea-salt brightness and a whisper of smoke that lingers, easing into warm vanilla and oak for a refined maritime finish.

Springbank
(SPRING-bank) The 14th distillery to be built in the region of Campbeltown, Springbank is still owned by the Mitchell family, who also own the Glengyle distillery in the same region. Springbank produces three different styles of Single Malt; Hazelburn (triple distilled and non peaty) Longrow (twice distilled and heavy peat of 50-55ppm) and Springbank itself (two and a half times distilled and peated to 12-15ppm). Springbank is also one of the few distilleries that malt their own barley and bottle on site.
