This Meikle Tòir single cask was distilled in 2021 and matured in a first fill Pedro Ximénez cask before bottling from cask #9851. With a peat level of 52ppm, it brings together the richer, sweeter side of sherry cask maturation with the distillery’s smoky style, giving the whisky plenty of depth even at a young age.
The PX cask adds a dark, full-bodied sweetness that works particularly well with the peat, layering raisins, muscovado sugar and mocha over smoked orchard fruit and grilled honeycomb.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Dense, dark mahogany with a molten amber core and bronze-red glints.
Nose
Smoked orchard fruits weave with raisins and maraschino cherries, while grilled honeycomb lends warmth. Caramelised muscovado sugar and rich mocha round the edges, creating a dark, inviting aromatic tapestry.
Palate
Molasses tart, cocoa and sweet espresso, followed by manuka honey, barbecued stone fruits and spiced orange.
Finish
Long and warming, the finish drapes the palate in caramelised baking spices and lingering smoke, finishing with a luxurious sherried sweetness accented by mocha and dried fruit.
