This Meikle Tòir single cask was distilled in 2021 and matured in a first fill Pedro Ximénez cask before bottling from cask #9851. With a peat level of 52ppm, it brings together the richer, sweeter side of sherry cask maturation with the distillery’s smoky style, giving the whisky plenty of depth even at a young age.
The PX cask adds a dark, full-bodied sweetness that works particularly well with the peat, layering raisins, muscovado sugar and mocha over smoked orchard fruit and grilled honeycomb.

Tasting Notes
Nose
Smoked orchard fruits, raisins, grilled honeycomb, caramelised muscovado sugar, maraschino cherries and mocha.
Palate
Molasses tart, cocoa and sweet espresso, followed by manuka honey, barbecued stone fruits and spiced orange.
Finish
Long and warming, with caramelised baking spices, lingering smoke and rich sherried sweetness.
