GlenAllachie Ruby Port Finished Single Malt Scotch Whisky 12 Year Old · 2009 Vintage

This gorgeous ruby red malt was initially aged for ten years in American Oak Barrels before being re-racked into Ruby Port Pipes. The secondary maturation period further develops the depth of flavour and complexity, as well as bestowing a vibrant, rich colour.

On the nose there are lashings of heather honey, grape must, treacle, bananas and ginger. The heather honey continues on the palate, alongside toffee, damsons and grape must, fused with orange peel and ginger.
