Tasting Notes

Nose

Liquorice weaves with manuka honey and butterscotch, while crystalised ginger and cinnamon butter lend a warm, spicy lift; a mocha-dark undercurrent hints at depths to come.

Palate

Aniseed, vanilla extract and heather honey, followed by mocha, ginger spice and treacle, with rose petal and toffee.

(glen-AL-a-key) Built in 1967 near Aberlour, it spent much of its life producing whisky for blends rather than building a big name as a single malt in its own right. That changed in 2017, when Billy Walker, Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson bought the distillery and began reshaping it around a more flavour-led, hands-on vision.
