Bottled as part of The GlenAllachie Wood Collection, this 11 year old single malt was matured using puncheons and hogshead casks that previously held Palo Cortado - the rarest style of sherry, combining the dryness of Fino with the nutty and darker fruit characteristics of Oloroso. The spirit has developed a beautifully layered character, with notes of ripe plums, dark mocha and warming cinnamon spice.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber with coppery highlights and a dusky mahogany glow, bronze-toned and inviting.
Nose
Cinnamon spice and butterscotch lead the aroma, with damson plum and a drizzle of heather honey. Raisin butter and crystallised ginger weave through, giving a warm, indulgent scent.
Palate
Toasted honeycomb and fresh brambles greet the palate, edged by baking spices, then maraschino cherries, mocha and plum jam, with treacle and dark chocolate lingering.
Finish
Long and lingering, with a subtle dry finish that recalls mixed nuts and bittersweet dark chocolate.
