Tasting Notes
Colour
Radiant golden amber with sunlit honey tones and a whisper of copper.
Nose
Coastal peat and sea-salt smoke rise from the glass, with brine and iodine riding a crisp mineral sweetness. Waxy vanilla and citrus peel weave through toasty wood, while a faint medicinal note lingers, cool and balanced, hinting at Brora’s enduring, sea-drenched character.
Palate
Oil-rich and coastal, the palate opens with peat smoke, sea spray and iodine, carried on a waxy, full-bodied texture. Brine and mineral notes mingle with vanilla and honeyed sweetness, while hints of dried fruit and almond unfold beneath the smoke. The finish is long and maritime, with coastal oak, lingering smoke, and a refined medicinal lift.
Finish
An enduring finish of coastal smoke and sea-salt mineral, evolving into resinous peat with iodine and ash. The dryness grows with peppery oak spice, leaving a lingering marine brine and a warm, peppery echo that persists.
