Brora’s hallmark peat erupts on the nose, a maritime blaze of sea spray, iodine and ash. Under the smoke, resinous wood and a speck of sweetness—vanilla, citrus zest—begin to unfold as the whisky opens. The 60.4% ABV sharpens the aroma with a mineral, sun-warmed edge that lingers long.

Palate

Fiercely peated, the palate erupts with brisk smoke and medicinal iodine, tempered by rich sherry sweetness, dark toffee, and maritime brine. A waxy, resinous core coats the tongue as ash, citrus zest and drying coastal notes linger into a long, powerful finish.

Finish

Coastal peat and sea-salt linger with mineral precision, while caramel and spice weave through the finish. A warm, peppery glow remains as smoky brine persists, echoing long into the aftertaste.
