Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep golden amber with coppery undertones.
Nose
Razor-edged peat smoke floods the senses, mingling with sea-salt brine, iodine and ash. Under the plume, sweet barley whispers through, with a hint of citrus zest and a subtle mineral kiss. A maritime core grounds the aroma, hinting at Islay’s bold, smoky character and a lingering coastal finish.
Palate
Powerfully peated, this is a coastal smokebomb with intense peat, iodine, and ash. Rich hints of subtle sherry sweetness, dark cocoa, and dried fruit weave through vanilla and oak, adding warmth. The palate finishes with peppery spice and a mineral, saline tang that lingers, carrying the Islay flame long after swallow.
Finish
Long, seafaring finish of intense peat smoke, medicinal iodine and ash that cling to the palate. Maritime brine and warm spice thread through the oak, leaving a dry, ember-soft afterglow that lingers for minutes, begging another sip.
