Only 525 bottles of this 5 year old Kilchoman were released for the Islay festival in 2014 and bottled at natural cask strength from just two casks of 200 litre Ex-Bourbon casks and finished in Fino sherry butts for 3 months.
Another complex offering from this young distillery who again manage to pack in loads of flavour into such young whisky, the fino cask influence here is delightfull.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Straw-gold with a warm, pale amber glow.
Nose
Salted green apple puree mingles with peated rice pudding and coastal custard; almonds blanched in rock pool water release nutty nougat and grassy vanilla.
Palate
Hot, peppery peat sits alongside sweet-salty coastal notes, roasted almonds, lime curd, toasted spice and vanilla oak.
Finish
Bright lime and citrus linger with salty peat smoke, underscored by almond and vanilla, drifting into sweet rice pudding before a lime cheesecake finish.
