This 11-year-old Kilchoman was bottled in 2026 as part of the first Family Casks edition and matured in Oloroso sherry cask. Bottled at 54.7% ABV, it brings together Kilchoman’s smoky Islay character with the darker, richer influence of sherry wood, giving the whisky a fuller and more concentrated style.
That combination works particularly well with Kilchoman. The Oloroso cask adds dried fruit, chocolate and warming spice, while the peat keeps the whisky lively and firmly rooted in the distillery’s coastal style. The result is a robust, sherry-led Islay malt, where smoke and cask richness run side by side without one overpowering the other.

Nose
Peat smoke weaves with raisin sweetness, orange peel, dark chocolate and a soft spice, perfuming the glass with rich, coastal sherry intrigue.

Rich and smoky on the palate, with dried fruit and cocoa notes, wrapped in sweet malt and seasoned oak. Oloroso warmth layers spice as coastal peat threads through, ending in a long, balanced finish.
Finish
Long and warming, the finish lingers with smoke and dark fruit, braided with gentle sherried spice and a touch of cocoa oak, fading to a soft coastal warmth.
