Tasting Notes

Colour

Radiant amber-gold, satin-warm with a coppery edge, like autumn sunlight in a glass.

Nose

Sweet vanilla fudge and candied pear fuse with ripe tropical fruits, pineapple and banana, with a touch of sweetened coconut, while menthol adds a fresh peppermint edge.

Palate

Warming pepper and spice unfold into toasted malt and dark chocolate, with sweet pear and creamy butterscotch and subtle oak.

Finish

Smooth, sweet ginger lingers, followed by a subtle, drying note of oak that leaves a warm, refined finish.

(glen-AL-a-key) Built in 1967 near Aberlour, it spent much of its life producing whisky for blends rather than building a big name as a single malt in its own right. That changed in 2017, when Billy Walker, Trisha Savage and Graham Stevenson bought the distillery and began reshaping it around a more flavour-led, hands-on vision.
