Incense and sandalwood lead the aroma, drifting in a resinous, earthy perfume. Subtle spice notes weave through, revealing a warm, woody core that hints at the Mizunara cask finish.

Warm, spicy and richly aromatic, the palate unfolds with cinnamon and clove accents intertwined with incense and sandalwood. An earthy perfume threads through the profile, adding depth as a silky, lingering finish reveals refined sweetness and a subtle resinous glow from the Mizunara influence.

Chichibu
(chee-CHEE-boo) Chichibu was founded by Ichiro Akuto and began distilling in 2008 in Saitama Prefecture, at a time when new Japanese whisky distilleries were still rare. Akuto had already made his name by rescuing casks from his family’s closed Hanyu distillery and bottling them as Ichiro’s Malt, so Chichibu arrived with a strong sense of continuity as well as a fresh start.
