Mars Tsunuki Distillery was launched in 2016 in a small area enclosed by mountains. Here, the company first began producing spirits in 1909, and production has continued for over a hundred years. Mt Kurata spring water flows gere, making up the body of Mars spirits, and the warm regional climate deepens the flavours of their whiskies.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Golden amber with sunlit honey tones and a warm copper glow.
Nose
Ripe pear and peach lift the nose, sweetly framed by vanilla and a touch of toffee. Fresh malt glows softly, while citrus zest glimmers at the edges. Subtle mineral notes from Mt Kurata water keep it bright, with a warm hint of oak and spice hinting at depth to follow.
Palate
Silky, medium-bodied and warmly inviting. Ripe orchard fruits—pear and apple—merge with creamy vanilla and whispers of spice, riding a malty sweetness. Subtle oak support and a citrus brightness provide balance, carrying into a long, refined finish.
Finish
Long, warm and elegant, the finish releases honeyed fruit and vanilla, layered with gentle spice and toasted oak; a touch of citrus brightens the tail, followed by a mineral, lingering warmth that endures on the palate.
