This is the new limited bottling of Cosmo, Mars’ Blended Malt Whisky, extra-seasoned in Manzanilla Sherry Cask for extra approx. 1 year.

This excellent whisky is soft on the palate, having rich aromas, such as dried fruits, brown sugar and maple syrup that came from the casks, along with a slight bitterness, coconut and chocolate flavors in harmony.

Tasting Notes

Nose

Dried fruit aromas from the sherry-cask mingle with brown sugar and maple syrup, yielding a warm, sugared bouquet with soft sweetness and subtle richness.

Palate

Adding to the round and soft flavour which Cosmo have, the harmony of coconuts and chocolate flavour spread to the mouth.

Finish

Well balanced flavour and slight bitterness remains pleasantly.

Mars Whisky is the Japanese whisky name from Hombo Shuzo, a Kagoshima drinks company with roots dating back to 1872. Hombo Shuzo obtained a whisky production licence in 1949 with the help of Kiichiro Iwai, later building a whisky distillery in Yamanashi in 1960 before the Mars name developed into one of Japan’s more distinctive whisky producers.
