Situated in the heart of the Japanese Alps, Shinshu distillery has been founded in 1985. After a few years out of service, the activity started again in 2011. Cosmo Wine Cask Finish is a limited release 2020 of the classic Cosmo, finished in a Wine Cask for almost 1 year.
To obtain Cosmo’s richness and complexity, Marscombines different types of Malts. This Blended Malt is well balanced, between spicy notes and fine tanins offered by the Wine Cask finish.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Sunlit amber-gold with coppery undertones and a whisper of mahogany.
Nose
Fig and dried banana chips mingle with apricot tea, while red-wine spice and fruity notes lift the bouquet, giving an inviting, layered aroma of warmth and elegance.
Palate
A soft, honeyed palate with brown sugar sweetness opens to fresh, fruity notes of Japanese peach and crisp red fruits. Gentle spice lingers through the mid-palate, while delicate tannins lend structure, finishing clean and refined.
Finish
Delicate, lingering tannins drift on a soft whisper of red-wine spice, with a subtle echo of dried fruit sweetness. The finish remains refined and persistent, leaving a clean, elegant impression that invites the next sip.
