Nikka Miyagikyo 10-Year-Old Single Malt marks the first age-stated release from the Miyagikyo distillery since 2016. Produced in Japan’s Miyagi Prefecture and bottled at 45% ABV, this whisky is available only in very limited quantities. It offers a refined, lively profile with a pronounced tropical fruit character.

Aged for a minimum of ten years in the mountainous surroundings of Miyagi, this single malt develops a distinctive balance of fruity and grassy notes, complemented by depth and warmth.

Nikka Miyagikyo
(NIK-ah mee-yah-gee-kyoh) Nikka was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, a Hiroshima-born brewer’s son who travelled to Scotland in 1918 to study whisky-making. After establishing Yoichi in Hokkaido, Taketsuru completed Miyagikyo in 1969 in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, as Nikka’s second distillery and a deliberate contrast to Yoichi’s bolder style.
