Crafted at Japan's Shizuoka distillery, which began operations in 2016, this single malt whisky is produced using 100% imported barley and distilled in historic ex-Karuizawa stills. Aged in a mixture of ex-bourbon and sherry casks, the result is a rich, fruity and complex cask strength whisky.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep amber-gold with copper highlights and a warm mahogany undertone, a sun-kissed hue that hints at sherry-influenced richness and cask-strength depth.
Nose
Clean, sweet and complex, a peanutty note blends with subtle dry oak. Honey, caramel and vanilla rise gently, followed by a mineral undertone that lends quiet austerity. A soft wisp of ashiness lingers in the background.
Palate
Oily and smooth, with rich caramel and honey, balanced by mild peppery heat. Creamy rose syrup and a faint ashiness appear, finishing with cocoa powder and a return of minerality.
Finish
Elegant and dry, with oak and a touch of mint, finished by persistent minerality that lingers on the palate.
