Nikka Miyagikyo Single Malt Japanese Whisky

A none age statement single malt from the second of the Nikka owned Japanese distilleries and was called the Sendai distillery until 2001and now named after the Miyagi prefecture where the distillery is located in the north of the main Honshu Island.
Now replaced by a 70cl 45% non age statement version that is LP7069 on our website and is a real black fruit and aromatic spice bomb.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Rich amber-gold with coppery undertones and a burnished bronze glow.
Nose
Perfumed and aromatic fruit and oak unfold into black fruit jam, new leather, chocolate orange, toasted walnuts and a trace of wood polish.
Palate
Malty chocolate, sweet toasted aromatic spices, waxy orange, a touch of nutty praline, and rich pine resin oak.
Finish
Cocoa powder and warming cinnamon weave with allspice, orange oil and toasted vanilla, finishing on peppery oak.
