Nikka 40th Anniversary From The Barrel Extra Marriage Japanese Whisky

Nikka From the Barrel Extra Marriage is a limited release celebrating the 40th anniversary of the brands most famous whisky. This expression brings together grain whisky from Nikka’s Coffey stills with malt whiskies sourced primarily from the Yoichi and Miyagikyo distilleries.

This edition honours the original process whilst pushing it even further, benefiting from a cask marriage period of twice as long. This adds further depth, complexity, and elegance to the blend which is presented in its original bottle with a new silver label design, incorporating the words, Extra Marriage.

Nikka from the Barrel’s components have been aged for an average of 10 years in a variety of cask-types, expertly blended and then married for 3-6 months in a barrel and bottled ‘from the barrel’ at 51.4% ABV. For this limited edition the extended marriage period highlights the distinctive traits of each of the whiskies, harmonising all components to bring further complexity and elegance.
