Nikka pure malt Black "smoky and mellow" With its subtle balance between fruit and delicate peaty notes, Nikka Pure Malt Black offers rare complexity. The depth of its aromatic palate results from a selection of whiskies, that combine the fruity elegance of the Miyagikyo malts with Yoichi’s characteristically smoky notes.
Nikka pure malt white "peaty and salty" Aromas of smoke and peat dominate Pure Malt White’s aromatic palate, enriched with slightly iodized, vegetal notes. Considered to be an intense malt, it is the peatiest whisky in the Nikka range.

Tasting Notes
Colour
A warm triad of hues: pale straw-gold for the White, sunlit amber for the Red, and deep copper-brown for the Black — a luminous spectrum that hints at peat, fruit and smoke.
Nose
On the nose, Red offers bright orchard fruit with a soft, spice-herbal warmth; Black folds in subtle fruit with delicate peat and a mellow smoke; White bursts with intense peat, iodized salt and a hint of seaweed. Together they form a layered, maritime-smoked bouquet—fruit-forward, then smoky and saline, true to Nikka’s character.
Palate
Red unfolds with smooth, full-bodied fruit and a gentle spice, velvet-soft on the finish. Black caresses the palate with a harmonious blend of fruit and subtle peat, delivering depth and quiet complexity. White strikes with peat, salt and iodine-tinged vegetal notes, a bracing maritime edge. Together the trio balances fruit, smoke and salt, revealing a nuanced, collectible spectrum.
Finish
A layered finish that begins with soft fruity warmth and a hint of spice, deepens into mellow smoke and delicate peat, and ends with a lingering saline, peaty tang.
