Nikka from the Barrel is one of the most recognisable Japanese blended whiskies, made from malt and grain whiskies from the two Nikka distilleries. The whisky is full of flavour and richness, showcasing a honeyed sweetness followed by candied orange peel, raisin and dried apricot, cinnamon, clove and coconut with a hint of smoke. The whisky is 51.4% ABV and presented in a now iconic square bottle.
Nikka from the Barrel is a multi-award-winning whisky and received the ‘Best Japanese Blended Whisky (NAS)’ accolade at the World Whiskies Awards in 2019.
"Takes a little while to open but then reveals sherry and a big smack of orange zest. There is some cedar box lurking as well. The palate continues the sweet citrus theme, with a hint of walnuts and honeyed apples. The finish is lush, rich and impressively complex."
