Discover Nikka Yoichi 10 Years Old Single Malt, a tribute to Nikka Whisky's oldest distillery, Yoichi, whose creation in 1934 marked the beginning of Nikka's history.
The founder Masataka Taketsuru chose the town of Yoichi in Hokkaido because of the similar environmental conditions to Scotland, where he learned the art of whisky-making. Yoichi Single Malt Whisky is bold and complex with a distinctive smokiness from peated barley and traditional direct coal-fired distillation. Sea breeze from the Ishikari Bay delivers a briny hint to the whisky during maturation.
Lively aromas fill the nose with hints of fruit and discreet peat.

Palate
Silky, creamy pastry notes envelope the palate, balanced by bright melon and cool menthol. A slender wisp of peat lingers, with a touch of sea-salt brine from Yoichi’s coastal character, guiding to a long, harmoniously refined finish.
Finish
An enduring, smoky finish with a delicate coastal brine from Ishikari Bay. Sweet notes of creamy pastry entwine with melon and a hint of menthol, slowly fading into a refined, harmoniously long close that lingers with quiet warmth and poised sophistication.
