Kanosuke Distillery is located in Hioki, Kagoshima Province, the southernmost point of mainland Japan, along the coast of Fukiagehama, one of Japan's three largest sand dunes.

Kanosuke distillery commenced operations in 2017. The unusual aspect of Kanosuke is that it uses three pot stills (instead of the more normal two stills). This allows Kanosuke to produce different flavoured spirit as a result of different lyne arm angles.

The 2022 limited edition uses spirit that was produced between 2017-2019 that was made from unpeated malt and matured in sherry casks. it is bottled at cask strength.
