A limited edition Yoichi released in 2018 as part of Nikka's yearly special releases. This bottling has been finished in sherry casks and bottled at 46% abv. One of 3132 bottles.
A slightly savoury and sweet nose of smokey bacon, raisins , dark chocolate, smoke and charred spices. The palate continues with the sherried sweetness - berry, praline, cocoa bitters and raspberry. The finish comes across much more coastal and typical of Yoichi, delicate medicinal smoke and green herbs, linctus and still a faintly sweet edge.

Colour
Deep burnished amber with copper-gold highlights and a mahogany edge.
Nose
A savoury-sweet nose of smoky bacon, raisins and dark chocolate, woven with smoke and hints of charred spices.
Palate
Sherried sweetness coats the palate with berry and raspberry, accented by praline and cocoa bitters. Rich, velvety and lightly nutty, the mouthfeel glides with a touch of spice and a subtle maritime warmth that echoes Yoichi’s smoky character.
Finish
Coastal and true to Yoichi, the finish unfolds with delicate medicinal smoke and green herbs, a subtle note of linctus, and a lingering, faintly sweet edge.
