A distillery-exclusive single malt from Nikka’s Yoichi Distillery, bottled at 55% ABV with oak-led maturation that incorporates sherry influence to bring sweeter, richer layers to the spirit. Released only at the distillery, it showcases a combination of Yoichi’s traditional, bold character with a sweeter cask influence.

The sherry and oak ageing adds depth and soft fruit richness to the distillery’s naturally robust, lightly peated style, balanced by vanilla and gentle spice from wood, with rich dried fruit and sweeter elements.

Nikka Yoichi
(YOH-ee-chee) Yoichi was founded in 1934 by Masataka Taketsuru, the founder of Nikka Whisky, on the coast of Hokkaido. Taketsuru had studied whisky-making in Scotland and chose Yoichi for its cool climate, clean air and coastal setting, seeing it as well suited to the robust style of malt whisky he wanted to make. Nikka’s predecessor, Dai Nippon Kaju, was established in July 1934, with construction of Yoichi completed in October of the same year.
