Following the success of the Distillers Reserve editions of Hakushu and Yamazaki, they have decided to release an older, more exclusive limited edition of the Yamazaki single malt.
The 2017 Limited Edition is a marriage of various vintage distillations, some of which have been maturing in their European Oak casks for over 20 years.

Tasting Notes
Colour
Deep burnished amber with bright gold reflections and coppery undertones, a warm, sun-kissed hue that hints at long European oak maturation.
Nose
An elegant, mature aroma of polished European oak, vanilla bean and toffee, with dried plum and fig fruitiness. Hints of orange zest and almond paste mingle with warm spice—cinnamon and clove—while wisps of incense and tobacco lend refined depth.
Palate
Silky and layered, with orchard fruit and honeyed citrus leading to rich fig and dried apricot. European oak brings vanilla, toasted almond and cocoa, subtly spiced with clove and nutmeg. Full-bodied yet refined, the texture stays velvet, finishing long with a gentle oak sweetness and lingering fruit.
Finish
Long, silken finish with refined oak spice and a touch of dark chocolate. Dried citrus and vanilla mingle as sandalwood and cedar unfold, leaving a warm, elegant glow that tapers to a delicate sweetness and a lingering whisper of spice.
