Yamazaki Distiller's Reserve Single Malt Japanese Whisky
In stock
A non age specification single malt from Japan's oldest and original distillery, Yamazaki. Average age here is at 8 years with some older sherry cask aged stock also used and aged in a combination of red wine casks and old sherry casks for extra depth of colour and flavour.
A good introduction to the rich, sweet, aromatic and spicy Style of japanese whisky and comparable to a sherry cask aged Highland malt from Scotland (such as Dalmore or Glenmorangie).

Colour
Deep amber with copper-gold highlights and a warm, reddish mahogany glow.
Nose
Plum jam on brown toast mingles with red berry pavlova, while sweet, aromatic spices weave through creamy coconut yoghurt and egg custard, finished with nutmeg and chestnut puree.
Palate
Red berry jam leads the palate, intertwined with sweet spices, toasted vanilla and coconut, then notes of French toast and a warm kiss of cinnamon.
Finish
Praline sweetness lingers, paired with strawberry jam on cinnamon bagels, guided by incense-like aromatics, and finished with cherry and marzipan.
